Dalal Al-Abdulrazzak is a marine scientist and conservation leader with more than two decades of experience working across science, policy, technology, and the nonprofit sector. She is currently Vice President of Conservation Programs at Ocean Wise, where she leads a portfolio focused on some of the most pressing challenges facing the oceans.

Her career has centered on turning science into action, from advancing fisheries policy and developing technology for more sustainable fisheries to building more accurate baselines for ecosystem recovery. Before joining Ocean Wise, Dalal was Vice President and Chief Science Officer at Vericatch, a fisheries technology company. She previously worked with the United Nations Development Programme on ocean policy and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of British Columbia Fisheries Centre.

Dalal holds a PhD in Zoology from the University of British Columbia and a BA in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College. She was also awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, which took her around the world to study shark and ray conservation. Born and raised in Kuwait, she currently lives near Vancouver, British Columbia.
